About the Role

We are looking for a successful Analyst who is interested in a role where they can have greater influence on business outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity within our small and well connected Vero Pricing team whose focus is to turn knowledge and insights gained from analytics into business success.

Vero Personal Insurance (PI) manufactures domestic insurance for a number of distribution channels in the intermediated insurance market. The PI business is the largest in Vero and is the growth engine for the company.

Reporting to the Manager PI Pricing, you will work in a business pricing team that works closely with the wider PI team accountable for product, pricing, underwriting and portfolio management.

This is a fast paced environment that provides access to a wide range of stake holders across all levels of the organisation and other business and technical pricing teams. Your strong commercial acumen will be critical in driving price change and providing value adding insights and influence across all aspects of insurance manufacture.

You are
Easily able to communicate analytical scenarios to non-technical business people
Commercially astute with the ability to consider wider context and complex interactions
Enthusiastic about the value of insights to impact perception and effect change
Curious and tenacious
An analyst who loves to diagnose and advise your internal customers to influence business outcomes.

You will have experience with
Data visualisation techniques
Enterprise BI tools like Cognos or Tableau

What we are looking for

You will use your business knowledge and interpretation capabilities to uncover and compile actionable insights. Your aptitude for communicating, including an outstanding ability to summarise analysis into plain English, will be essential in getting these recommendations actioned.

The ideal candidate will be an analyst that has been exposed to pricing concepts and will be familiar with the insurance industry. Experience with projects will also be an asset.
